Physical pain is not only felt in the body. Your thoughts, feelings and reactions can make chronic pain feel worse. Mindfulness can help bring awareness to these reactions, and allow for an opportunity to pause before you respond.
This 4-week course introduces mindfulness practices to help manage pain, reduce stress, and support your self-care. These practices can complement and enhance other pain management treatments and improve quality of life. We draw on evidence-based approaches from the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program to foster a healthier relationship with pain and engage more fully in self-care. Our instructors provide a safe space to learn and share your personal experiences.
