Mindfulness Programs
Discover the original 8-Week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program created by Jon Kabat-Zinn, PhD, at UMass Memorial Medical Center and completed by hundreds of thousands of people all over the world since 1979. MBSR is an evidence-based program that complements medical and psychological treatments, offering valuable support for a wide range of medical conditions. This program can help you:
- Live life with greater calm, clarity, energy and enthusiasm
- Learn to manage short- and long-term stress, understanding how to respond rather than react
- Change your relationship to your pain through mindfulness practice
- Improve your ability to focus, bounce back from tough times and care for yourself
This course serves as a foundational step toward pursuing certification as an MBSR teacher.
Individuals often question what the differences are between MBSR and MBCT and which program best meets their needs. This is very specific to a person’s situation and we are happy to help you make that decision.
