Worcester, Mass – UMass Memorial Medical Center has a new mobile vehicle on the road to support addiction services in the Worcester homeless community. Made possible through the kindness of New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft and his family, the Kraft Community Care in Reach® mobile unit is equipped and staffed to bring substance use disorder (SUD) and other health care services to those who need them, where they need them.

COVID testing remains important, even as numbers dip

Testing has always been the first line of defense in the fight against COVID-19. And experts agree that even if the latest surge in Massachusetts has eased, that’s still the case.

“The numbers are decreasing and people are feeling safer, but this is when we need to test further,” said Dr. Kedardespande of the Metro West Medical Center in Framingham.

UMass Memorial to Close COVID-19 Testing Site

Almost 119,000 COVID-19 tests performed at Stop the Spread site in Worcester

 

Worcester, Mass – UMass Memorial Health will close the COVID-19 testing site on Thursday, March 30, 2023. With a declining demand for testing, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health is closing all Stop the Spread testing sites including the testing site on Front Street in Worcester.
