Eye care is complex. UMass Memorial Health is home to a comprehensive Eye Center where eye specialists use the latest diagnostic technology and provide treatment, all under one roof. We have the expertise to care for all conditions affecting the eyes, from glaucoma and nerve damage to eye tumors and vision loss.

Eye Care and Treatments We Offer

Our extensive team of eye specialists gives you access to timely, targeted care. We can typically offer you an appointment within a day or two for urgent issues or within 14 days for routine exams and most other conditions.

Services we provide include:

• Fluorescein and ICG angiography show how blood flows through your eyes.
• Laser corrective surgery changes the shape of your cornea and improves vision.
• Ocular ultrasonography uses sound waves to diagnose conditions in the eye.
• Ophthalmic photography provides images of the structures of the eye.
• Orthoptics diagnoses issues with the eye muscles.
• Perimetry, visual field testing, helps diagnose several eye conditions.
• Plastic and reconstructive eye surgery repairs trauma or physical issues that impair vision.
• Small-incision cataract surgery replaces lenses in the eye that become cloudy.
