Why Choose Us for Movement Disorder Care?
Nationally Recognized Care
UMass Memorial is a Huntington's Disease Society of America Center of Excellence Partner Site supporting Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. This designation recognizes our commitment to delivering multi-specialty care centered on your needs. We also participate in research that advances treatments and outcomes.
Team Approach
A fellowship-trained movement disorders neurologist guides your care. They work alongside a genetic counselor, nurse navigator, speech therapist and social worker. Our extended team includes specialists in nutrition, rehabilitative therapies, palliative care, neuropsychology and neuropsychiatry. We communicate regularly, coordinating the services you need.
Broad Range of Therapies
You have access to the latest research-based therapies, including advanced therapies, some of which are not widely available. We offer injections and medications to manage tremors. If you have severe symptoms, you may be eligible for deep brain stimulation or minimally invasive procedures.
