Why Choose UMass Memorial for EVAR?
Endovascular and Surgical Expertise
Our vascular surgeons have special training in endovascular and open surgical techniques. This unique skill set means they can offer whatever procedure is most appropriate for you and your family. We also have a proven track record of success with treating the most complex aneurysms, using minimally invasive treatments.
EVAR Pioneers
Our vascular surgeons were the first in the country to do EVAR with a new technology using fiberoptic cable imaging instead of X-rays. This approach reduces radiation exposure during the procedure, making it safer for patients and staff.
Clinical Trials
Many complex aneurysms can’t be treated by FDA-approved stent-grafts. Some aneurysms can’t be treated by FDA-approved stent-grafts. We participate in clinical trials to investigate new stent-grafts that may be suitable for people with especially large or complex aneurysms. When you turn to us for care, you have access to therapies that aren’t widely available.
