Pre-Op Tours for Children

Pre-surgery jitters? Shake them off with a pre-operation tour!

Pre-op tours help children understand and become comfortable with what they will see, hear and feel on the day of their surgery.

Children will:

Watch a short video explaining the surgery experience
Visit a pre-op room where your child can touch and feel some of the equipment
Meet a pediatric anesthesiologist to ask questions about their procedure
Talk with a Certified Child Life Specialist, who is trained to help children understand and become more comfortable with medical experiences

About Pre-Op Tours

Who: Children ages 3 to 12
When: Mondays, 2-3 pm
