Harrington’s has a 14-bed inpatient unit on our Southbridge campus (2South) designed for patients who exhibit behavioral health and psychiatric conditions. Our team of specialists, including therapists and psychiatrists, provide expert diagnosis and treatment individualized for each patient.
Our team includes a medical director, nurse practitioner, social workers, nurses and mental health clinicians. Our psychiatry department is led by Dr. Tina Render.
We offer a wide range of specialized inpatient services using the latest therapies, including sensory rooms and group meetings.
Coming 2017: We are opening a 16-bed dual diagnosis unit at our Webster campus.
After stabilizing the patient, we work closely with their family and caregivers to design a comprehensive after-care treatment plan. The treatment plan may include outpatient therapy or treatment programs. The goal of treatment is to help the patient re-enter the community and live a productive life.

Psychiatric Emergency Care (PES)
Harrington is unique in that it offers 24-hour psychiatric emergency services in the community. A collaborative effort with Riverside Community Care, PES offers crisis assistance to adults and children.
All calls for crisis intervention will be processed through triage in our Southbridge or Webster Emergency Departments by a mental health specialist.
The goal of our PES program is to ensure that patients receive immediate medical and psychiatric attention.
Our mobile crisis team can visit you at home, at school, or in the office for crisis intervention, as needed.
