These are performed at our Southbridge, Charlton and Webster campus locations using dual X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) which is the recommended method by the International Society for Clinical Densitometry for measuring bone density. The technologists performing the exams have been certified by the Society and all exams are interpreted by the radiologist at UMass Memorial Health.
