As adults, we face a range of stressors and mental health disorders that affect our functioning. From depression to illness, divorce and loss, life happens –and sometimes we need some help to keep going.
Our adult outpatient services provide a range of therapy services and psychiatry to meet your needs. Some of the services we offer include:
Individual Therapy: This is an opportunity for you or your loved one to meet one-on-one with a therapist to process thoughts, emotions or situations that are causing stress or impacting your day to day functioning. Individual therapy is a great starting point, and many of our patients find that therapy alone is enough to create major positive change in their lives. We also offer therapy services to patients experiencing chronic, persistent mental illness.
Couples Therapy: Relationships can be challenging, especially when one or both partners are experiencing individual stressors; add relational stress and things can become overwhelming quickly. With therapy, a qualified therapist will work with you and your loved one to get to the root of your problems and help get your relationship back on track.
Family Therapy: This is an opportunity to discuss issues and concerns that impact the whole family, in a safe and supported environment that fosters progress and communication.
Group Therapy: Group therapy is an especially helpful therapeutic tool because it connects people with others who are facing similar life challenges—offering the opportunity to understand with people who really understand your circumstances. Facilitated by our one of our therapists, we offer a number of groups including men’s group, women’s group and other diagnosis-specific group services. Talk with your therapist about which groups could be helpful for you.
Psychiatric Evaluations: The decision to start a medication to address emotional or behavioral problems can be difficult. You or your loved one’s therapist can help determine whether medications may be helpful, and make the appropriate referral to connect you with one of our qualified psychiatric providers.
Medication Management: Once you have determined whether yourself or your loved can benefit from the use of medications, they will continue to meet with a licensed psychiatrist or nurse practitioner on a regular basis to monitor their medications.
