SOUTHBRIDGE, Mass., May 2, 2013 — Harrington HealthCare System is recruiting for a new volunteer position, Patient-Family Liaison for the Southbridge Emergency Care Center.
The Patient-Family Liaison volunteer will serve as liaison between Emergency Room staff, patients, and significant others. The volunteer will greet, direct, transport and be available to patients along with significant others waiting in the Emergency Care Center area. Volunteers are needed for eight-hour shifts for days, nights and weekends.
If you are interested in this position, or want to learn more about what is involved, Harrington is holding an open house at the main lobby at Harrington Hospital, 100 South Street, Southbridge, on Thursday, May 23, 9:30 a.m.-11 a.m. and 4 p.m.-6 p.m. Harrington will also conduct tours of the Emergency Care Center at this time.
Harrington is also seeking volunteers to help in the Transport Department and the Gift Shop.
