Motorcycle Rally to Raise Funds for Harrington HealthCare

CHARLTON, Mass. – June 3, 2014 – Harrington HealthCare will hold a motorcycle rally on Saturday, June 21, to raise funds for the regional healthcare system.

Rally for Harrington will begin at the Harrington HealthCare at 169 medical office building, 20 Southbridge Road. The fund raiser will take motorcyclists through a scenic drive of Northeastern Connecticut before ending at Point Breeze Restaurant in Webster for a post-ride lunch and celebration.

The ride is the first of its kind for Harrington and has already picked up a sponsorship from Wolfco-Inc., Incom, Inc., Village Photo, OConnor and Sons Insurance, Co. and United Lens Company. The money raised from the event will go toward the Harrington Annual Fund, which channels support for medical and ancillary services throughout the healthcare system.

The committee charged with organizing the event is co-chaired by Anthony (Jay) Detarando, Executive Vice President and Treasurer for Incom, Inc, and Paul DiGregorio, Vice President for United Lens.

“I am honored to Chair and be a part of the first motorcycle ride that will hopefully begin a long tradition,” Detarando said. “Harrington is a community hospital and this is a great opportunity to give back to the community where our family, friends and employees raise their families.”

The cost for riders is $30. Each passenger is $10. Any additional dinner guests who are not riding in the event are asked to pay $20.

Those interested in riding or sponsoring the event should call Dawn at 508-765-3146.
