SOUTHBRIDGE, Mass. – May 28, 2013 – Marianne Smith, M.D., a Board-Certified Psychiatrist, has joined Harrington Outpatient Behavioral Health Services.
Dr. Smith will be Medical Director of Harringtons Partial Hospitalization Program in Southbridge and will also see patients at Harrington HealthCare at Charlton, located on Main Street in Charlton. Dr. Smith has extensive experience working with adults in both hospital and community settings.
Dr. Smith is also an assistant professor of psychiatry at University of Massachusetts Medical School. She comes to Harrington from UMass Medical School, where she was a staff psychiatrist, and from Community Healthlink in Worcester as the Team Psychiatrist for the Assertive Community Treatment program.
Dr. Smith received her degree in Medicine at the Medical College of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University, in Richmond, Virginia. She completed her residency in psychiatry at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, where she was chief resident in both the residency training program and the adult mental health inpatient unit.
