Harrington Seeks Night-Shift Volunteers

SOUTHBRIDGE, Mass., May 28, 2013 — Are you a night owl? Are you free evenings? If so, Harrington Hospital is looking for you!

Harrington Hospital is recruiting for Patient-Family Liaison volunteers for the 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. shift at the hospital in Southbridge. The hospital is also seeking volunteers for this role for the 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. shift. All Patient-Family Liaison volunteers must be 18 years of age or older.

A Patient-Family Liaison volunteer serves as liaison between Emergency Room staff, patients, and significant others. The volunteer will greet, direct, transport and be available to patients along with significant others waiting in the Emergency Care Center area. Volunteers serve eight-hour shifts for days, nights and weekends.

Harrington is holding an Open House June 12, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the main hospital lobby at 100 South Street to recruit volunteers and discuss the requirements of the position.
