WEBSTER, Mass. – June 12, 2012 – Harrington HealthCare at Hubbard has announced the date for its 2012 Breast Cancer 5K Walk/Run.
The event, held annually at its 340 Thompson Road, Webster campus, will be Sunday, Sept. 30. The event is rain or shine.
Last year, the event drew more than 200 individuals. Harrington raised more than $7,000 and donated part of its proceeds to the Central Massachusetts Chapter of the American Cancer Society. Funds will be again donated this year.
Participants are encouraged to register online at harringtonhos.wpengine.com. If an individual is able to collect $50 or more in donations, their registration fee is waived. If less than $50 is collected by the date of the walk, the participant will be asked to pay a $10 registration fee.
The walk is approximately 3.2 miles and starts and finishes at the Webster campus, circling Point Breeze Restaurant and the Webster Lake Marina, in addition to several neighborhoods. A map of the route can be found online.
