CHARLTON, Mass. – June 21, 2011 – Harrington HealthCare at Charlton, part of Harrington HealthCare System, announced the addition of vascular care services to its medical office building at 10 North Main Street.
“Vascular care was a significant need for this community,” said Ed Moore, President and CEO of Harrington. “Expanding our medical services to include this type of outpatient care expands on our mission of Total Local Care. Our patients are now just a few minutes drive from advanced specialists and testing.”
Vascular care offers the evaluation and treatment of diseases of the arterial, venous and lymphatic systems, including carotid artery disease and all aspects of hemodialysis.
Services will be under the medical direction of Dr. William Patrick Robinson III, a member of the UMass Memorial Medical Group and the UMass Memorial Health Care Heart and Vascular Center of Excellence, and a new member of the Harrington Medical Staff. Dr. Robinson is board certified in general and vascular surgery. He is a graduate of Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, completing his fellowship at Brigham and Womens Hospital.
With an on-site vascular care program, all patient consultations, testing and follow-up appointments will be located at Harrington HealthCare at Charlton, making it convenient and accessible to the southern Worcester county population. Patients will also be able to receive a full range of vascular ultrasound scans with their consultations within the Charlton building.
