The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in BLS, ACLS and PALS and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the American Heart Association, and any fees charged for such a course do not represent income to the Association.
Almost 80 percent of sudden cardiac arrests happen in the home.
92% of victims don’t survive, often because people around them don’t take action and begin CPR.
You can help change these statistics by learning and simple but critical skill of CPR. Harrington offers community courses for Basic Life Saving (BLS) skills for healthcare providers, Adult First Aid & CPR, Pediatric First Aid & CPR, and Heartsaver Automated External Defibrillator (AED) CPR.

Stroke is the third leading cause of death in America and a leading cause of adult disability. Up to 80% of strokes are preventable. Remember – a stroke is an emergency!
Harrington’s Emergency Departments are proud to be Certified Stroke Centers in partnership with UMass Memorial Medical Center Department of Neurology TeleStroke Program. We train our staff and the community on a regular basis about the signs and symptoms of stroke, blood pressure, and heart failure.
